Appios [x] A small smirk crossed the male's face. What else would give him pleasure other then seeing another creatures death? At night, which made it all the more exciting? Yes, sure, he didn't take pleasure from inflicting pain, but it was amusing that little creatures could struggle so hard to remain in a life of constant alertness-- never having a break. A predator was a much better way to live. The only thing they had to deal with were other predator's, and the occasional feisty piece of prey. It was nearly all too easy, and it made some males restless. Fights were more easily provoked during a time when there was little or nothing to do. Basically, boredom hit like a storm, and took nearly everyone by surprise. So, that was his reasoning for why there was packs. So that they might have someone of near-equal strength to deal cards to. One that would give a good fight in return for taking all the cash. One that was guaranteed to lose, but tried anyone with a heart of a lion. It was why he had fun with the prey at times. Because he knew they could never win against fate. Fate was the ultimate predator. One that could never, ever, ever lose.
[x] Sliding carefully forward on light paws, the male's eyes were dead-centered on the light-footed prey on a fairly wide slab of rock he was on. It was doubtful that he would catch it, but he would feel better if he actually tried, and not just scared it away. Step, by careful step, the male's soulless black eyes took in every minute detail of its muscle movements. Every flicker of the eye was taken in by his own, and every flick of the tail was stored carefully. It was true that the wind was flowing in the right direction, but at any moment, the small goat could turn, and see death stalking it. But, at the last moment, the goat did, indeed, see him, and bolt in whatever direction it could find.
[x] Unfortunately for it, that was straight over the edge. Appios smirked when the male heard a sickening crunching sound, following by a wet one, and walking slowly (or lazily) over to the edge, he saw what he expected: the goat laying splayed at angles that it wasn't supposed to be at. The head was torn off and off to the side after being sliced by a rather jagged piece of rock at the bottom. It looked to him that the goat had escaped him, but had leaped into the arms of another form of death by leaping over the edge. Slightly saddening, to be sure, but not enough to make him take a moment. Instead, the eyes of his filled with a type of emptiness, and then started to look for a way down.
[x] The male had a type of eeriness to him that came easy, and he was on a rollercoaster of emotions. One that came easily was sarcasm-- being a jerk, basically. He said what was on his mind, and was quite willing and able to pop each and every pimple of ego-like personalities and drama queens. They didn't deserve to be alive if that was how they acted. Like everyone was alive because they allowed them to. Most of the time it was the leaders that had this issue. Or at least showed it. It was because they had power, and everyone knew it. Luckily, most of the wolf-leaders here didn't have that issue...but most of the wolves under him did. He liked seeing their faces when he stabbed at each and every word they said with the airs of someone so much more powerful then what they truly were. Seeing that they weren't the gods they thought they were. The self-righteous, idiotic, annoying little--
[x] Flicking his tail, the male found no path readily gained by a wolf his size, and decided to forgo the goat, and pick more easier battles to win. After all, he wasn't stupid.
words; 678 muse; Eh notes; Hee hee, Appios. Sorry for it being annoyingly choppy and just generally bad, but I suck at starter posts.

Before Cesaru lay a deep cliff. Wide in expanse and littered with sharp jagged rocks at the bottom, stained with old blood over centuries of helpless and moronic souls tossing themselves over the edge, whether it be on accident or on purpose. Cesaru smirked at the fresh new splatter of red painting his rocks, a goat from perhaps twenty minutes ago. Suicide was for the weak. Accidents for the meek.
He turned away from the cliff, a satisfied and almost smug look in his startlingly green eyes. They were a peculiar color of sea-foam, a minty tone that stood out obviously from his dark, brick red coat. He tossed his head up, arching his neck back comfortably in the form of an alpha. A low grumble echoed from his chest cavity, hungry eyes searching around for the stray spilled blood that could have been discarded carelessly. However, if his suspicion was correct, the goat had simply jumped off the cliff as something had scared it, it hadn't been pushed over.
He sighed slightly to himself. Cesaru's large body swung around another rock pillar, resting his large black legs against the warm stone. Surely there was some little fuck tard around here who had sacrificed the goat over the edge of the cliff. And blood had been wasted, precious blood that he could have used for his evening bath. He chuckled beneath his breath, a slip of air reverberating from inside his chest cavity. Perhaps he would spare a life today, should they be a part of his pack. There was limited prey up here, and he did not appreciate it being tossed off a cliff.
"Why hello, Appios. And what the fuck may I do for you today." He greeted casually as the large bodied male floated towards him, gliding on his black charred feet. "I trust that you haven't been the nuisance chucking food off my cliffs?" He raised a brow, feigning amusement, aware that he was the only one in the area and that if he lied to him, there was a good chance of his untimely absence.

-< Following trails and scents for a couple of days, the predator found himself tracking over cliffs. The air was clean and the rocks were sharp, not a bad place to trap prey. Seeing the fear in their eyes just before the end to their life, ah~ It was so captivating and a great feeling as he would feed off it all, his body moved swiftly across the landscape of grey. The winds took a change as a new smell came upon his nasal passages, it was blood and fresh. "Wonderful," he chuckled darkly as his paws took him a ledge that looked over another and another ledge. He cocked his head slightly to the right as the rotting flesh lay untouched, the wind caught another sign of activity as it brought the sounds of others nearby. >-
-< Sami moved over once to watch as the two played out their performance. His beautifully scared body rested on the ledge, feeling the coolness of the rock on his underbelly as well as the Sun's warmth on his back. Perhaps they would give a good show or just talk it out, he did not care particularly. The larger wolf definitely stood out from the norm and it would make sense if he was the Alpha. After all he did say his cliffs, the thought almost made him laugh though he did not. His eyes moved on to the other, observing and looking over him as he did the larger one. This one had a lighter coat than both of them and from it looked like, thicker as well. He listened quietly, still resting though his muscles were never were. Appios was what the fiery red male called him, now if only he could hear the other's name. >-

Just one step would send her hurtling over the edge.
The cold night air gently brushed her fur in a breeze as he proud female stood atop a deadly-high cliff. Her proud posture made her seem a bit larger than she already was, though her black fur cancelled this out, hiding her in the shadows of the dark rock she was standing upon. From a distance, one might have been able to see her eyes glimmering in a musty yellow tone from the sparse light, but only at a specific angle.
Her lips curled over her gleaming white teeth, a small growl escaping her throat as she witnessed a male plop unceremoniously upon a rock pillar. He was from the Vecka, like herself; that was known by the way he held himself. And...was that blood, gleaming on the jagged rocks not to far from him? Her eyes met the severed head of a goat that had either fallen, or jumped, from the ledge. But goats weren't that stupid, and she knew it. Something had to have been chasing it. Another wolf, perhaps?
Myra wasn't like most of the males in her pack, but in some cases, she was worse. Sure, she got into fights a lot, and cheated in a bunch if things started looking bleak, and her temper could outdo that of a territorial lion. But some of these wolves enjoyed rolling around in the blood of others. No, she didn't find that disgusting. She prided herself on how much blood she shed on her victims and enemies, but she wasn't particularly giddy at the sight of it. Would one be giddy at the sight of a puddle? Not unless you were dehydrated. And that was Myra's point of view; blood was like water, precious, scarce, yet you could find it nearly everywhere, and it was to be valued.
She tilted her nose up a bit towards the stars, revealing a long scar running down her chin and halting somewhere on her chest, wondering if she should talk to these males out of her own boredom. Alas, they were across the gorge. It would be a long and fruitless walk just to talk to a bunch of males. She sat down quietly, and peered intently at the other two wolves who had just come into her view. Great; she was the only female.

Accalia
[/u][/color] ;[/b][/size] Crunch."What the fuck was that?" Accalia spat the words through clenched teeth, as there was a sharp "crunch" sound coming from about twenty feet below her. Accalia wheeled around, and her stance was anything but kindly. Her front feet were spread wide apart, while her neck was craned downwards, yet her head was raised; a position that surely couldn't be comfortable. Her tail was raised with hostility, and her eyes glinted. A goat. A fucking goat. It was raining goats. Was that normal? Probably not. A goat, glimmering in fresh blood, was laying spread-eagle at the bottom of the cliffs. Surely, it hadn't gotten there naturally. Goats, although not predators, weren't stupid animals. They wouldn't jump off of a cliff on purpose. 'Suicide's bad...,' Accalia thought, snickering, as she relaxed her stance. She forgot about the goat, and nimbly leaped up towards the highest part of the cliff, where there were already four other wolves. Three were lower-ranking pack members, therefore, none of Accalia's concern. However, the fourth was Cesaru, her fellow alpha. Naturally, Accalia had no quarrel with Cesaru, which was good, as both were famed for their sadism, and with Accalia's on-and-off schizophrenia, a fight of the alphas would just spell bad news. Speaking of bad news, Accalia's stomach began to grumble, creating both an unpleasing sensation for the wolf and any prey that may have heard it. Accalia thought quieting thoughts to her stomach; thoughts of food and fatness. Her stomach seemed to like the idea, and quieted down. Accalia smiled, then raised her slim maw to the sky. She inhaled. Various scents rushed into her finely-tuned nostrils, and she worked to separate them into different categories--huntable, wolves, and simply out-of-the-question. All she was able to get were her fellow pack members, the dead(and out of reach) goat that seemingly fell from the sky, and a far-away herd of deer, much too far for her to hunt without going hungry. Accalia snorted in displeasure, and started walking higher up the cliff, towards her pack members. There was what seemed like a small explosion from under her front paws. Accalia screamed in outrage, as a fluffy intruder fluttered in her face. It was a ptarmigan, quite a stupid bird, in Accalia's opinion. She wasn't able to smell it, as it was hiding under a pile of snow. Accalia growled, and fit her sharp teeth around the crown of the ptarmigan's head. In an instant, Accalia had cracked through the skull, and the sweet nectar of blood and brains began to seep into her mouth. Accalia savored the sweet taste, then dropped the still-quivering bird. 'Savor it...' A wispy voice in her head mumbled. Calmly, Accalia gnawed the head off of the creature, her sharp teeth easily piercing the spinal column. The part of her meal that she enjoyed most were the eyes of the bird; they were a sweet-treat, sort of a dessert. Once Accalia had finished her meal, she noticed that there was still a decent amount of meat on the bones. Sighing, she picked up the remainders carefully in her mouth. She may as well be nice to her fellow alpha. Accalia nimbly scaled the rest of the cliffs, her belly full and content. Approaching Cesaru carefully, so as not to spook him, she spoke through a mouth muffled by feathers and meat. "Cesaru, I've brought you something. It's not much, but...," Accalia said, laying the meat at his feet. She stepped back, and shook her dark pelt. Her crisp, almost cold, amber eyes peered over the rest of the pack. Appios seemed to have a sort of a glint in his eye; Accalia was suspicious. She remembered the goat. "Oh, yes, may I ask who's been causing the odd precipitation of goats? For the years that I've been alive, I know that that's not normal," Accalia inquired, her voice slightly dangerous, yet with a tint of amusement behind it. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Wonderful,"
Cesaru chuckled. "I do agree, Sami," He said, still facing Appios but hearing the dark male behind him. His sea-green eyes flicked only nonchalantly over his shoulder, catching a glimpse of shadow before he turned his attention back to the white male. He remained quiet; silent, as if wondering what to say. Sami behind him probably hadn't even known Cesaru had heard him, by the way he had muttered.
The red male turned his dark smirk behind him. He had only barely heard his subordinate's murmur faintly, but the scent of him had reached the alpha far long before the words had. As alpha of the Vecka Cesaru knew not to trust any of his pack members. Despite their loyal claims, any one of them could turn in a moment's notice. And if this was the pack of vagabonds, of poisoned blood and tainted minds, then the likelihood was even higher. Cesaru Fuentes smirked, side stepping both of them as another, more feminine scent wafted through the area, only faintly, but definitely there. Absentmindedly he wondered if it was just a passing guest or if it was a pack member, although each pack member would have a distinct smell to them if they had been in the territory longer than a day.
He tossed his gaze across the valley below, past the bloodied rocks, to see the potential source of the scent he had just caught. A black female, lying perfectly calm on the ground, watching the three of them. Another smirk tugged at Cesaru's black lips, and he flicked his muzzle up to her.
"Cesaru, I've brought you something. It's not much, but...,"
He turned to see his alpha female coming up to his side, dropping a piece of freshly killed game at his feet. With a gentle tenderness, he touched his nose to her shoulder in a professional manner. "Ah, thank you. However I am not hungry, but I will indeed save it for later." He said simply, a quiet and deadly tone.
At the look Accalia gave Appios, he nodded in confirmation. Suspicious in the greatest. He wasn't of much use to the pack at all, and he hadn't killed in a good amount of time. Looking over at Appios, he contemplated how he would kill him. As he scented the air, the sweet tang of blood on the rocks beneath him gave him a pleasant idea.
"Well, my dear Appios, as you have shown to me that food isn't as important to you as it is to everyone else, I think it'd be fair to say your food consummation could be spared, hmm?" He stepped forward with a lazy hitch in his step. As Appios began to stutter a response, Cesaru jack-knifed his shoulder into Appios's neck. The white speckled wolf grunted, eyes widening in horror as his sharp nails attempted to grab onto the ground. Smoothly, Cesaru's muzzle slipped underneath his belly, and the large, blood colored brute thrust him towards the cliff. Appios bellowed, black eyes frantically searching around. "What are you DOING?!" The subordinate shouted.
"What does it look like?" Cesaru smirked, and twisted his body to aim a sharp kick at Appios's hip. His former subordinate stumbled fatally off the edge of the cliff, a sharp, sickening slice splitting the silence as his body crumpled against the hungry tip of the rocks below.
Cesaru smirked coldly as he turned to the rest of his pack members. "More food for the likes of you. Don't complain, fucktards." He murmured, chuckling softly to himself.
AUTHOR'S NOTE;; As Seal has told me she was quitting, her character has become a NPC (non-played character) and was subject to powerplay; just so you all know so I don't get called out for it. xD

Myra sighed, seeing the Alpha. And the way he flicked his muzzle at her...did he want her to join them? They were talking about something, their voices floated to her ears as incoherent mutters. Slowly, she lifted herself to stand, and sprung from her perch, landing on a shelf in the sheer rock wall, not too far from the others. Ledge by ledge, she climbed to the top, one could say like a mountain goat.
Her climb seemed stupid by the time she got up there. She didn't honestly want to be there. Plus, from her previous resting spot, she couldn't see that the Alpha Female had joined their little party, as well. Wonderful, she couldn't get snappy with the males, what with two Alphas around. Proudly she held herself as she approached them, and set herself not too far away from the others, but close enough. After all, she didn't like being in the spotlight.

-< The male had a light sly smile cross his face as the almighty Alpha spoke, he had heard him after all, 'always nice to know,' letting the silent thought cross his mind still awaiting a response from Appios to the question. He, himself, found the situation somewhat amusing but he did not let on about this. His eyes glanced to the female's as she ignored them all, except Cesaru. He chuckled lightly when the female "delightfully" gave up the kill for the lead, his head lifted slightly above his paws and hovered. The day was passing slowly or that is how it seemed at least. So far only few numbers of the pack had decided to show their faces, most here just because of the goat. What ashame that the food had gone to waste but still no answer to why Appios did so. Sami could feel the growing energy throughout his body as he could sense something was going to happen and soon. It took very little effort to keep his body from lunging into a fight, though it had been a while since such energy gathered in his body. It was interesting, definitely. The higher ranked creature still said nothing as the rest of the pack eyed him and leaving the lead in a silent world for the moment. >-
-< His ears barely flickered back as the other had thought about "surprising" him from behind though he decided not to react, he would have fun time if the other decided to came about. "Cesaru," the voice said with such ease like a claw slicing open a carcass with the fresh smell of the kill filling the nasal passages and the beautifully spread of red, oragns, and muscles. 'Ah~ What a wonderful picture,' the male thought before continuing his words, "perhaps the insanity has finally taken Appios." He made a "tsk, tsk" sound as his head shook slowly from side to side as he finished directing his words towards Appios, "a sad, sad day, pup." Sami surpressed a small smile then, he did not mind ruffling up fur but of course, he would have restraints. He just was not at the restraining line yet, the male would "push the enevelope" as the humans would say. Perhaps he was acting like a jvenile at this moment, baiting on the higher ranked male, though he was not that much older than him, just ranks were different. "Never disturb the ranks," his father would always say, "do not question the ranking." >-
-< He could see his father's maw work the words as of he was chewing on an old bone. That old pest would rampage on and on about what not to do in a pack and how to follow, to never disobey the Alpha, and so forth and yada, yada. 'The worthless wind bag,' the wolf thought quietly, 'I'm glad I took out his throat first.' The thought brought up past scenes of Sami's kill that day, the blood, the gore, the screams of agony, him crying for mercy, and the look in the eyes before the final moment. He loved it. Call him nuts for feeling that way but it was what he felt and remembers from back then. Although the canis had not ate that day either, perhaps that was why. The smells of the precious red liquid oozing from the meat as it released steam into the cold winter air, it was tempting to engourge but he refused that day. Refusing to endulge on such tainted meat, a ruined meal because of the creature that it came from. Sami found the old geezer's carcass as something that only low of the lower animals could feed on, not for him to eat. He would not let him have the honor to be carried in the bellies of other generations. His eyes gathered back to the ones around him again, his mind had taken him away for that moment to refresh that day. 'That was his ending day,' he thought silently with a sly look on his face just as the Alpha made his move. >-
-< 'Perfect timing,' the individual thought alone as he watched, not surprised, as Cesaru take out the former member. At this point, the Delta ranked creature allowed himself to show a smirk that would stand out alone. His throat, also, could not help but release a deep but light and short chuckle. So far, the entertainment was nice though short lived. Sami saw as the female hunter moved her position, his body shifted slightly as well but just so slightly. Moving to a cool part of the rock, "I appreciate the meat," he said, seeming to be the first to speak about the new "food", "though I have had my fill for the day." Perchance he was speaking out of turn, the brute of a male knew how to repair and mend the "torn" egos, it was just boring if nothing and no one spoke after such an amusing event. >-

Accalia found herself being distracted by a bird who was flying nearby, and turned to view the raptor as it passed by. She revolved fully, until her back was to her pack-mates.
Accalia let out a heaving sigh, causing tendrils of a wispy smoke to rise from her nostrils. She stepped closed to the edge of the cliff; fibers on the pads of her feet gripped to the cliff edge for all of the life in her. Accalia smiled as she leaned forward slightly.
A passing wind brushed through her fur, chilling her nearly to the bone. She shivered involuntarily, causing her body to move dangerously. When Accalia realized her potential plight, she shivered again, this time, out of fear. She'd rather not fall off of a cliff; her thoughts were a separate entity than reality.
However, Appios didn't have a choice in the matter. Accalia felt herself tensing up to the extreme when Cesaru began speaking to Appios. She knew Cesaru long enough to be able to distinguish that dangerous tone in his voice. She backed away from Cesaru and the small piece of meat that she had deposited by his feet, until she was a safe distance away. As Cesaru began to move dangerously close to Appios, Accclia found herself looking away.
Accalia heard Appios' fear-ridden words, and Cesaru's more sadistic ones. Why was she so reluctant to watch the act that was taking place before her? Perhaps it was her devotion to her pack? Obviously, Cesaru didn't have the same love, at least for Appios. Yet, she wasn't cross with him, not in the slightest. Appios did deserve it.
All of a sudden, Accalia heard a sickening crunch, and wheeled around. She ran swiftly to where Cesaru was poised, and peered over the edge of the cliff. She saw Appios' broken body towards the bottom of the cliff, and with a sick pleasure, remembered the goat. She found herself smiling as her lust for blood kicked in.
“Well, Cesaru, you've proved your point. However, I don't think it'd be wise to eat that meat; those rocks look rather sharp. I doubt that anyone in this pack would like to prick their pretty little ego on them,” she said, not speaking of him or herself.
“Ahh, Sami, my dearest, what a pity,” she said, at his words of having his fill. As Accalia peered over the cliff again, she found herself slightly unnerved by Appios' broken body. After all, he had been a part of their pack...
