Plot Discussion Have a twist up your sleeve? Feel a drag? Do you simply want to offer your input? You're at the right place.
So tensions are set to be on high between the Leikl and the Vecka. Do you think we should jump right into it and let action flourish or should we give it some time and build it from the ground up?

I, personally, think we should build it up. If we do that, it'll give us more substance to go off of. We do have the plot basis but actually just delving into it could cause some gray areas. It would add onto the plot and increase the tension. It would give others a chance to plot within themselves too. *shrugs* That's my two cents. lol

I agree with you there, Maya. I also think a slower start would allow members to establish their characters and have them build relationships. On the other hand, how slow is too slow? We could literally spend (RL) years in this stage with only a month passing in the actual roleplay. How can we avoid a drag without rushing members?

I personally think that we should let it build, as that was my original idea when I wrote the plot. I wasn't planning on jumping right into everything, as that might rush role players and cause weak relationships between characters. Obviously, whatever ensues between the Leikl and Vecka is most likely going to be the climax of everyone's role play. I'm really not sure how long to spend on the "build-up" stage, does anyone have any ideas? We don't want to rush people, nor do we want to spend too long and create a boring role play for some members.

Maybe we can do a few months. 1-2 months so it doesn't drag on forever but gives everyone just enough time to establish the things they need to set up. If someone requests more time, it can be granted to ensure no one is left out. Or we can merely start up a poll and see what the members have to say. Their input is greatly valued. =: )

I vote for the idea of a poll. At the moment, I feel like we have far from enough members/characters to really kick the plot off to begin with. We might not gather together enough within the 1-2 month time span. That said, perhaps we should plan on starting it once we feel we have enough players to do so successfully. When that time comes, we can offer a poll to see if the majority of the forum agrees.
Not to jump ahead, but the next issue would be exactly /how/ we plan to kick things off in the roleplay.

I think it depends on when people start posting. As of now, there aren't many actual role play posts; I think that once everyone (or almost everyone) gets something posted, then we could figure out how long.
But I like the 1-2 month range. (:

I can definitely see one of the packs at least planning an attack in 1-2 months. That is, of course, once the majority has posted in-character.

As a question to anybody and everybody: what do you think we need to establish before we can successfully proceed with the plot? This is referring to our count of active members, active characters, and anything else that could possibly bring our plot to a screeching halt.
Do you think it would be safe to start now (a pack begins planning?) and give the forum a kick since activity is dwindling?
What's more, how exactly are we going to roleplay battles when they come up?
