As long as I am breathing... "Is this the place? The final place?" Her words rang in his head as the woods cleared from sight and the golden brown sands revealed themselves. The sun shined bright over the water as it rushed to the shore and fled back out. It was peaceful and quiet, this was the place. His paws touched down softly on the shifty ground, releasing a soft crunch as the pebbles rubbed against each other. Birds called to each other above as they enjoyed their flight, the waves continued to wallow about, leaving seaweed and many other delights. He took in a breath, filling his lungs with the clean salty air as the clouds above added to the beauty. Vast water and soft beach to travel along, a quiet river to drink from, and many dens to have as shelter. 'This place is perfect for her,' the member of Canidae thought as his palmar and plantar reached the end of a small peak. The wind brushed him by as he looked over the beaches once more. It was not long before the male left that all and ventured to the hidden dens. A soft green had crawled across the tops of the entrances while the trees provided a cool shade, smaller critters chatter above and below bringing life to the ration of woods. His dark hide melted into the shadows as he inspected the dwellings, they were a medium size with a built that kept them cool when temperature rose and warm when it dropped. Winds drew by again, lifting the leaves high above and sending them to the greater forests. John walked back to the small peak, looking to the sea and beyond as his neck began to stretched out. His head lifted high to the heavens above as the sound held deep within his vocals rang out. The deep and long howl announced his presence, his being as well called another to the lands. He would not lead whoever else decided to call this place "Home" but John would aid as the next. "Now we wait," his voice was deep in tone, vocals smooth as silk with a gentle look in his deep forest green irides. ...I will always be Here. I promise. John

The sound braced the silences like a verbal defeat. The unspoken agreement between the land, the sea and the sky broke with the earth shattering call that lured out the hidden female from where safety lay. Her paws left slight prints as she walked, but curiously she obeyed the call. Instinct willed her to go, curiosity shuffled her tired shoulders along, her tail flicked lazily. She had expected to be lured from the woods, nearby the dens. There had been the option to approach or not, and whatever had lured her out into the open surely would peak her interest; at least that was what the female so hoped. Golden eyes scraped over the sea with hunger-like it was a rival or a prey, something to go after. She knew the sea would best her, and that was why she paused along the edge of the tree line. It was like she had to dare herself forward as a ear flicked in the direction that the wind whispered in. Like an echo, she faintly recalled where she had guessed the location of the howl to be and crept forward warily. There was always a risk of leaving the woods, not that the woods offered much protection. Her bright, light coat was nothing for camouflage anyway. No, it was a hindrance to her nature. Senses tingling, she approached in the direction that called her, her nose twitching as the salt sea assaulted her with warm embraces that overloaded her. As her eyes darted up toward the sky, listening to the crying birds, she wondered if they stalked prey like the wolves. She wondered if they knew what a danger it was to fall unprepared into the greedy sea. No, she had an understanding with the violent seas; she would not approach the water's edge when the temper was there in the water. Therefore, the sea would not kill her. Awareness filled her as her eyes came upon what had urged her forward. The curiosity like a heady drug. " Oh my. What a lovely bright sun." Her husky, deep voice murmured thoughtfully with a sarcasm heard easily as her ducked away from the demanding bright rays. Delia shook herself gently as her tail flicked again a few times and she padded forward, letting the sand hold her and accept the breach of peace her steps caused. It was hardly her fault that she loathed being called, beckoned forward, but she knew order. Order had been a consistency wherever she had gone ever since her birth. Order was something one thrived on. When order escaped, chaos pursued. Things withered. Life drained away. Sighing, the female drew her golden eyes shut and resisted the words in her mind. She scolded herself mentally as her attention focused on the male at the peak. While she lingered back, away from the calling ocean she studied him in idle curiosity. There was always comfort in seeing something that was a familiar sight, but Delia could hardly stop the bite, the reminder of her lower status; she could have been one to make such hauntingly beautiful calls. There was no force dragging her to want to be near someone else who belonged here, close to the sea-closer to heaven as the sky lowered into the reflections of the waves, but she still felt compelled. To be with someone who was also someone who had chosen to belong was home... " Home is everything." She muttered reluctantly, curling her white tail as her pink tongue crossed her lips and she resisted going closer without acknowledgment, almost afraid to intrude despite the reasoning that she was pack, instead letting golden eyes stray back to the powerful sea... to watch. To wait.

Shoka|| The female lifted her head to the echoing call as it swung from branch to branch finally landing in her ear canals. Her eyes looked forward as her paws pressed against the soft ground, lifting her from her place and taking off for the male's place. The days were quiet lately along with a small breeze that occasionally went by, the sun above filled her with warm as she emerged from the silent woods. Shoka spotted the sand and the ocean that rolled in and out, her nostrils took in the crisp sea air with welcoming smile. She liked it, just the appearance of it all was nice. This was the place that she wanted to stay but her brother was yet to be found.
|| The wolf walked along the ledge that defined the beginning of the beach looking for the other male. It was not a long though until she spotted that black on a small peak before the sands. Shoka slowed her pace and began to creep as she was going to try to surprise him, most of the time it would not work but she hoped that with time she was getting better. Her paws made almost to no sound as they came up close to the shadow black wolf. She finally darted forward and she believed that she had him but at the last second his body moved. The younger sibling rolled as she landed with a solid thud on the shifting sand, "darn," Shoka said as she stood again. Shaking any stray sand that covered her, "I thought I had you that time, John," she said looking up as her warming smile shinned.

As long as I am breathing... The place was calmly as it repeated itself, over and over again. John wondered what was taking so long before he sensed another creature behind him, the winds picked up the scent and ran it by his nose. He could do nothing but smile as a big brother would do when his younger sibling would try to sneak up on him. His ears caught when she left the ground as her body cut through the air, the male moved to the left as she fell forward. He smiled to her as she landed, her clear blue optics looking up to him. It was always amusing when she tried this but yet she never stopped, it was alright, it would help her in the future. John got down from the peak while chuckling slightly, "maybe next time, Shoka," he said calmly as he greeted her. His ears swiveled as he thought he heard another by, the male looked to the sea and then to Shoka. "I thought you would like it here," he spoke with a normal tone again as she smiled again. "Yes! We are staying right?" He nodded once and the sister shinned another smile."I hope others come out here soon too," his younger family said with a joyous tone, John gave a small smile as he agreed. The shadow black male turned around at that point though, facing the direction of thicket. "If you are done observing, then perhaps you might want to join us," his tone was strong but polite still as he spoke out, scents were a wondrous thing. His body shifted in front of Shoka, just in case the other near by decided to do anything. ...I will always be Here. I promise. John

Family. It was a queer concept to her, something she had come to want and come to detest at the same time. Smirking when she realized that she had been noted, she calmly remained back a piece. Especially when the wind carried to her another unfamiliarity, something that made her body tense and her ears perk up in alertness. Well then, she guessed there would be no sense going now--not as she watched the pretty, young looking female lunge herself out at the male. It was almost endearing, almost heart warming. But on the other hand, it made her want to fuss. Fun and games? Who had time for that anymore? She may have been a wolf, but her game was more that of a fox. Sly, feisty, no one had mistaken her for a young pup since she had been about a year old. She was too manipulative, to adult in her ways of manipulation. He watched the male and the female, her head cocked to the side as she took in the sight with amusement. She could only imagine how things looked; her in hiding, as if it was wrong to be seen. She could only imagine that some might cringe at the way she hid, waiting, but it was her method. She hardly cared that her scent was on the wind, blowing their way. Not until she was addressed did she dare move a muscle. " I'm sorry," Her husky voice addressed as she slowly lead her body through the bushes that consumed her, golden eyes flashing in the light as she broke from the shade. Shaking herself, she slowly approached the two, taking in the scene-the protection. It was different to her. A foreign concept that she wasn't all sure she wanted to grasp. " I didn't want to interrupt..." It came across polite enough in return, her golden eyes half sliding down as she looked up at the male, letting her paws push up towards the cliff top. Honestly, there was nothing more heart-warming than a family moment, but part of the female would have rather had walked away and let other images fill her mind... As her ears swiveled forward, she took in the information with a glance. He was protective, and he was worried about what sort of a threat she was. The shift in his stance was protective (how endearing) to the smaller female that Delia didn't really have an intention with. No, it was the male that had lured her here. Despite the way she sunk her body a bit low, non-threatening is posture, her tail low, her eyes took him in with hunger. Strong muscles. Large size. She could have sighed, but the canine resisted with all her might. Then she did something to test the waters. She came within a few feet, and when she spoke again, her words we're directed at the male. " Hello there honey," A slight, friendly smile crossed her lips as Delia forced herself to nod in acknowledgment. She continued on, all friendly, her eyes flashing back and forth between the large male and she smaller female. " I didn't meant to... ruin your moment with him..." She faded off, thinking about something else for a second. Delia always was focused, except for when she wasn't. Most of the time, her mind argued with itself. Now it was mulling over worrying about disrespecting the larger male, when it was his attention she would have rather preferred to have. " I must say though, you almost had him. Congratulations. I would have missed if it had been me. I like going for the tail too much." Well, that wasn't exactly what she liked going after when chasing and stalking males-but why ruin the moment with words that would likely shock the ears of both of them? No, Delia could behave. For a few moments.

Shoka|| The younger wolf looked at him with a confused look at he took a protective stance in front of her. Talking to the woods, she watched as another emerged from the brush after he spoke. Her clear blue eyes followed the new member as she came close to them and spoke her case. Shoka smiled brightly moving to John's side, "that is alright." It wasn't rude for her to be careful, that was how she saw it at least. She took another step closer while continuing to speak, "I most of the time miss anyway," the female luaghed at herself, she knew she was never the hunter type, "but I never thought about going for the tail."
|| Shoka looked to the brush for a moment before focusing back on Delia, the air was cooling as it passed right through them. "I am Shoka," she said smiling again, her head motioned to her right as her voice was released again, "this is my older brother, John." She noticed as he began to let up a bit and took another step. "What about you? What is your name? Are you alone?" The younger sibling said with an eager attitude, she was shorter than her, from what she could tell at least. "Are you staying here too?" was her final question, the wolf was interested in meeting all new members but was just like this in general.

There were rules of the land that you followed, and Delia froze at the boldness of the other female. Her muscles stiffened and her ears swung forward, but her smile remained innocent, fascinated in the unfamiliarity that circled the air. They were siblings, so of course there would be liberties with one another-the would be that limitation that would be endearing. It was questionable about what life they had come from, when Delia expected to see more clearly defined order. She had expected to be frowned upon for her lack of response-partially that was what she had been hoping for. Some kind of response. Some quiet earning of acknowledgment that she had not received, and therefore she took the opportunity to study the pair more openly, intrusively. She felt like it was her right the be so curious-they lingered in a place she had been present in for a while. Not that Delia could take claim over anything; no, it was all her rival. She heard others-songs filling the night but it had been her selection to go off by herself and not join the joyous choruses she seldom heard. Delia exhaled when the questions begun, her head tipping to the side slightly as she let her amusement show. She allowed herself her own acknowledgment of the male, letting the word roll off her tongue huskily, " John..." Was a luscious name; simple, brief, to the point... matched with that figure. The female's tail swished briefly, then she turned her attention back to the odd female who was so bright, so cheerful that it made the female wary. The closer the steps got, the more Delia considered backing off. But there was no threat. What use would it be for her to make any sort of movement? Her mind dared not weigh the options; she would simply infuriate herself. So she returned her attention to Shoka with another slight sigh. The questions. It would be rude-though did she really care? Her eyes went to the strange male, and that answered her question. Yes, it would be rude to ignore the female that hovered close to him. Good impressions and all that. So she cleared her throat and nodded in acceptance, she would answer. " The pleasure is all mine, I'm sure, to meet you both, Shoka. I am Delia." Her voice was like a purr over her own name, her tail raising slightly as she shifted her stance to something more at ease before it brought suspicion about. Then she went on, addressing the questions in order, " As far as I am aware... I am alone, yes. Perhaps there is others close by, but I have not discovered any of such... none you sought refuge so close to the powerful sea, anyway... But I've settled here, for quite some time now, yes." At his point, her eyes strayed out into the offending sea and a content smile grew about her mouth, her eyes twinkling. Ah, to be alone was a cruel thing; but one was never really alone with so much water so near. Not when a temptation, a great sin, lay just in reach. As she licked her lips, she realized she hadn't contributed anything more than answers. So she parted her lips and she bowed her head lightly. What did one ask? Usually she--well, her normal methods were easier not spoken of. So she tipped her head up again and gave an attempt at being curious about things she was not, " Have you both traveled far? Have you explored the area?"

As long as I am breathing... The female showed herself from the brush, walking over to the ledge that he once stood on. She spoke with manners, showing a small shift in posture as well. His stance relaxed a little as she continued to speak, he could feel his sister moving behind him as her coat brushed against his. She appeared beside him as the other female spoke towards her, 'which means..' "That is alright," she replied with a very happy tone. 'Right on que,' he thought calmly, John on stood silently as Shoka continued to speak to the other wolf. He knew that his sister would try to make friends, it was her, always welcoming, and another reason why he had to be protective. It was also because of the order, though Shoka would forget that order at times, just as she had. The male almost chuckled as he watched Delia and her reactions to his sister's actions. Of course though, he would scold her for the actions later, but it was somewhat amusing at the moment. 'If she does that with any others though,' he thought quietly as the other female began to respond, 'we will have some problems before us.' His shadow black pelt shifted as his muscles changed their position. He watched calmly as Delia seemed to analyze the situation and take her response from that, his eyes flickered at Shoka as she took another step but returned to look at Delia. John waited until she was done talking to speak, his voice was deep but he still was polite. "It is delight to meet you, Delia," his body moved in front of Shoka as he pushed his sibling back. After all, he did not want her thinking that he thought of not following the rules, "I have not noticed any others than ourselves as well." His head turned to look at the soft sea green behind them and then to the brush around them before returning his attention back to her. "I have explored the area though not my sister," John replied adressing her questions one by one however, he decided to take a detour for a moment, "perhaps you would like to explore them, Shoka?" The male creature barely looked to his sister as he suggested the idea, the younger sister smiled again and nodded eagerly. "Yes!" He watched as she moved in the direction of the dens, "I will be back later then, John!" Winds swayed around them as the lighter colored female took off running, his forest green opticals watched for a moment and then returned to Delia. "We have been traveling long enough," he finally addressed, "this is a place that she likes so we will stay here." John adjusted his muscles once more lifting his head slightly, "she can forget her place at times, being the eager one and always wanting to make friends. You will have to forgive her for that, it is the way she has been since birth." The darker covered male stayed at his place as he did not want to threaten her either, 'I will have to speak to her about this later,' he thought as a small reminder. "She is not a threat," his voice changed slightly as if to say that his word on this should be truly trusted, "she never will be. Hunting is something she has never been excellent at, even to take something out of its misery, she cannot do it. Shoka is caring in that way and naive in this way." He paused for a slight moment, letting the air breath between them. "That is why I am here," John said with a deeper green in his eyes, he did not want to create fear but he wanted Delia also to know that messing with his sister was a huge No-No. He lightened up as his sentence finished up, almost as if there was a gentle smile in his voice though his facial expression showed nothing of it, "after all, I am her older brother." ...I will always be Here. Few things in the world made Delia blink so slowly that it filled in the classical look of 'disbelief'. In fact, it was rare that the female could be shocked at anything, since she had gone through life with surprises most did not care to know. Mostly because of the graphic details that followed along with it. The bright, bubbly attitude that the little female had was that of a pup, which made the female uncomfortable. Law and order had always prevailed. Perhaps that was why she had not selected to approach another area-where others in the distances had called to her. Besides the fact that she was wary of being included; she had a hard time taking what was told to her if she strictly disagreed. She lacked the power her mother had shown, but she was far from a submissive wolf. Except in this case where John spoke, and like any male, he commanded attention. She relaxed in pleasure as she listened to his answers, content to have that familiarity she expected from any male. Order was peaceful, though peace was easily turned into blood and war. There was never a perfect balance. Destruction seemed to loom at the bouts of happiness as they surfaced. Like the way the sea calmed before the weather changing. " Perhaps it is my lucky day then," The female said softly with a smile, a smile that had a hidden meaning behind it as she shifted closer, but kept her posture low. " One tires... so quickly, from being alone..." Her attention did not linger on the male like she might have preferred, instead her attention was forced to drift again. Too much for her senses made her look back to the sea. The sea looked hungry, playing innocent. Delia forced herself not to make comparisons between it and herself. She glanced at the younger female when it was offered for her to go exploring. Pleasure almost purred like a content beast through Delia as she watched the female so gracefully, joyously accept. It meant the female would be leaving, and she would be alone in a presence that eased her frantic nature... Although, how strange. She supposed that was what siblings liked. Running off from one another. She couldn't recall if she had ever seen such principles or applied them to any situation. There had never been a need. Family was weakness. And yet pack was family, and it was strength. Sighing on her thoughts, she looked after Shoka with a hint of regret. " Oh to be so bright of soul and so young spirited." She replied thoughtfully, her mind rolling over her thoughts. Contact was a relief, but it also had her defenses up. There was a method to being kind and even-tempered, warm. Any reasonable female would be a bit wary of being thrown into this situation, but Delia was aware of how evil worked and she rushed herself to find what grounds were able to be stood on without much caution as a normal, reasonable female might have. Unlike others, a stranger was exciting. A stranger put thoughts in her head and caused Delia to want to establish grounds and boundaries. She gravitated so easily to the male, perhaps with a bit of unexpected eagerness the minute she could no longer see the young female that had also deserved attention. Her paws shifting on the grass with ease. She felt the excitement swell in her chest as when she was closer, within two feet or so, she felt comfortable enough to recline back onto the grass. Her eyes strayed and lingered on John thoughtfully, trying to connect what he was saying. Shoka. They were talking about his sister. Delia's tail curled around her and she tucked her head lightly, her ears slightly flat against her head as she listened. They were staying; that was what she got out of most of it. That delighted her. She had missed male company; actually for the most part she desired more. There had been such passionate disappointment in her when she had not stumbled on a lone group of wolves with an over abundance of males or something of the like; it would have been any bored female's dream. " I'm very sure it will be a bit more calming if you won't be bothered by my presence... having others. It might make it feel like a... home, or more than it has felt like..." She played her words on a softer note than what could have been considered formal. She was testing as her eyes dropped gently, acknowledging the fact that John instantly ranked more superior to her. There was a note of vulnerability; as if she might have expected to get chased off since he had selected for him and his sister to stay. But it was a test. A test that she expected him to pass with flying colors, if his protectiveness had the ability to reach beyond his sister. " As for Shoka, she will be fine. She will learn her place, I'm sure with such a... capable male like you to remind her where she should not step it will be fine." Then she paused and shook her head lightly, " As for my opinion? I have no troubles with it. Any who has not lived with need to know the boundaries, because of a loving sibling to protect her, deserves some leeway. She seems very endearing... it's been a while since I've ever been shocked by such sunlight in our dark world." Her calm voice had went back to being formal, polite. But there was an easy offering, for him to accept her words. She accepted his with a slight nod. She would learn. Delia felt hardly threatened. For the moment there was no need to. What Delia perceived as a threat was always so very complicated, a female that could shock her by breaking the rules was nothing. There was no blood penalty for disobeying. She had met many who stepped out of line, and she had put them in their place-unless she had a reason not to. Another feminine smile contented itself on the canine's muzzle as she glanced length-wise at John again. The reason didn't have to be particularly strong. Just enough to give her grounds to defend her own actions...

As long as I am breathing... She knew her place, or seemed to show at least, as she continued to speak and show her respect. John felt as though his position would get in the way, though he could not figure out of what. His eyes would search for the head of the pack but still nothing yet, accepting her would be no problem and the more the merrier. The male looked at her again as he went to speak, "it would, you said earlier that you have settled here and I think you should. Shoka has taken a liking to as well, she would not be happy if I had you leave." His eyes seemed to show a gentle look then as his shadow black pelt shimmered again as the waves collapsed over each other. He had already decided to talk with Shoka about her behavior later but when in private. John looked towards the area of the dens at that moment, he did not worry as much as wonder what kept his sister so occupied with curiosities. Even a rock would make for questions over the countless days, the older wolf would chuckle at her but answer what he could. Hopefully others would not find this habit an annoyance either, his forest green optics looked back to Delia as the rest of his followed. "Come with me, will you?" his voice of silk and husk asked calmly as the Beta walked out closer to the water's edge. Far enough from where the sea could no touch you but where the mist could fall gently across the pelt. The paws of his body continued to walk along the sandy beach, feeling the gentle water sink into his pads. They would not walk far to leave the open waters as soon the solid, thick earth gradually appear before them. John walked into the small woods with a gracious stride as he brought them up to river. The greens had grown well and the flowers bloomed brightly with the water as their companion. The creature stopped and turned to Delia, motioning for her to drink or signally her that it was ok to drink. He took a sip himself, lowering his maw to the clear liquid; the crisp cool water felt good running down his throat, quenching his partial thirst. "This place is nice break from the ocean if you ever get tired of hearing it crash upon itself," he said calmly, waiting patiently. ...I will always be Here. I promise. John

Delia tried not to show her patient smile, instead she just allowed her tail to swish with the words he uttered. It soothed her, that he seemed to accept his rank with ease. While her eyes lowered some, she allowed her opportunity to eye him with curiosity. Still... she couldn't help but feel slightly endeared over the importance he put on his younger sibling. Shoka... well, she would have to see. Ultimately it was never going to be a problem. The female appeared young, innocent at first glance. Even while scolding herself for her thoughts, the female could see how easy it would be to manipulate the situation in her favor. She could only imagine how much others would flock to the bright young female, and it seemed almost a shame that Delia would have to do the same. Not that she would be obvious, but it rolled across her mind, spreading out like the landscape of the beach and see that lay lower and beyond them. " Thank you..." She made her voice sound shyly delighted, soft, almost holding some astonishment. Of course he would not have turned her away. She had already presented herself as lower than him, wasn't it natural instinct for a male to... take pity on any low ranking female? " I am truly very honored with your acceptance, John..." She remained quiet, but her words had a different meaning, her eyes flashing as she lifted her head lightly to study the male's face. Taking in the look in his eyes without directly giving eye contact. Then she was surprised, his movements triggered her stillness until he had spoken. Follow. As her eyes rolled in the direction his younger sister had gone, she licked her lips briefly, pink tongue escaping into the air. Follow... Yes, she could do that. " Where have you and Shoka traveled from, John?" She offered softly in curiosity, keeping her tone respectful. Although she did not follow immediately, she allowed him to start forward without her for a moment. Bowing her head as her body dipped down into a slight stretch, her eyes closed in pleasure from the feel of her muscles responding. A part of her wanted to run, but where would the fun be in that? John didn't know her well enough yet to chase her... Husky laughter followed the new images in her mind while she followed after him. Gaze never leaving the male unless she thought he might turn to look at her, then her warm eyes would dart out to the sea that seemed to want to close in around them. The transition from sound to thick earth did not bother her, but it did cause her to glance back at the seaside. It's beauty called to her to return but she realized it would have ruined her accomplishments. Honestly, as unattractive as it was to be following someone around like a pup, she was more than accustomed to it. Her mind shied away from her mother's law, the words growling in her ears from the memories that stopped the warmth that she rolled off her tongue so easily. She was not a liar. Very rarely did Delia lie. But she was manipulative, she purred out half truths more than spoke purity. As she followed John into the greens, letting the forest reach out to stroke her impure white and reddish fur, her eyes kept forward. Until they reached the stream, and she exhaled as she stopped a ways back. " The beauty around here never ceases to stun me." She commented softly, politely though her eyes did not wander from the other being. " The strength the land offers... is so tempting, it makes me want to let my guard down. And it seems like it's been months since I've been permitted to do such." Years actually. But who was counting? It wasn't her choice to have been raised in a place where one could never relax, because there was so much... cruelty that near-death experiences had been a daily occurrence. She'd always assumed there had been an illness among her mother's pack. But she had never found a reasonable idea for growing awareness of it. Her eyes closed gently at the gesture the other male made. How he seemed to be waiting for her approach. When they reopened again, she approached with her body language low, but her boldness hinted just vaguely, like she was unaware as her body slid up against the others, invading the space that had previously kept them apart. While her head dipped down into the stream, letting her pink tongue reappear to lap some of the fresher water, she kept her posture undeniably soft. Testing the male.

As long as I am breathing... John take some time before answering the female's question. Letting the crisp water run down his throat once before saying a word. "We have traveled far and from many lands," his voice smooth as silk responded as he went on to look at her with a pleasant look, "though if I had to say a specific direction then I would say from where the sun rises. The land where our family came from was a mountain territory far from here." His shadow colored pelt shifted a bit as his muscles moved underneath, his green pool like eyes looked to the skies for a moment before finishing. "However," John said with a sort of indifferent face, "there is no family there anymore." 'They are long gone,' he thought silently as his vision glanced over to her as she spoke again. Speaking of the beauty around there was relaxing and a good place to let your guard down. That was true in a sense, though he, himself, could never let his guard down. It was not for him to be that easy going one between his sister and himself, it was his sister's. The male saw it as this way at least, but none the less, his head made a small nod to agree with Delia. John had thought of what she was doing, but decided to leave it be. Maybe she would like of him to be ignorant if he did not acknowledge the tests that she was trying to pull, but that was alright. He rested on his hinds on the ground for a moment as the day rolled on, the conversation was nice to have other than with his sister. Wondering if any others would come one day too, but now it was just good to have another around. ...I will always be Here. I promise. John

Shoka|| The dens looked perfect from her view and they were warming. The female had found herself curled up in one as the light shined down to wake her, her light blue optics glanced around as the birds chirped all around. Her brother had not appeared nor called her, which meant he was still talking with Delia. "Which means," she said with playful smile, "I can explore a little more." The younger female jumped down from the den and landed with grace, her head looked around to see what there was to look at. The forest got deeper if she went one way and the beach the other way, "adventure waits where you don't know what is on the other side," she said with a happy smile.
|| Her paws took her deeper into the small woods, the critters all around scattered by her first appearance but then joined her as they saw she was not after a meal. The lands were getting more dense with trees and brush, however she kept moving. Not noticing that her body had temporarily walked into the Loner's lands. She would turn back as soon as she knew what she wanted to see, a troublesome young wolf she was at times.

There was no need to look at the consequences of the tests she might have be looping him through. For the most part, they were harmless tests. She had already acknowledged her submission to him (but that was just Delia, her screwed up mind informing her that she should see that as the way it was meant to be) she needed to know where he truly fell. Honestly, she would have been comforted if an Alpha would have been present; it would have contented her mind. He would have established the order without her needing to wonder, to push. She knew John seemed too... calm, perhaps. Too lenient to be the Alpha she was accustomed to following and aware of. Then again, who could ever have over looked her mother? There had been no goodness in her heart, and she would not have done something so pathetic as wander around the lands looking for a home as Delia had. She would have found a feature she would have liked, and killed all who were not prepared to submit to her ways if they desired to live upon the land she had chosen; or die trying. Delia found it a struggle to pull her mind back to the present. But she did manage to hear John's words. Was he correct in his choices? To leave with Shoka, even if they had reason to leave? Was not one supposed to stay where they were born forever, on the lands claimed by the pack? Was it not weak to leave, even under the most imposing circumstance? She had left, and part of her felt battered. Like she had let down the lands that she had once loved, even if she had not loved those who shared it with her. " The mountains," The female said faintly, " that must be quite a change now that you are here. I am used to dense forest, the occasional cliff drop-offs... I find myself more at peace that there is nothing present that I could kill myself in with one misstep." Delia tried for humor this time, though her attempt probably failed with the hint of wistfulness in her voice. There had been such power in the dangers of the cliffs, there had been danger of getting lost in the forests during a heavy rain, when the scents of the trails would be washed away. " Have you seen much prey?" The female questioned as she moved closer to him, slowly letting herself sink down onto the ground. Letting the earth raise up to meet her head as she lowered it, her tail absently flicking as she mused over her hopeful words. Before she could be asked a return question, she exhaled and her voice softened appropriately. Damsel in distress, almost. " I find it scarce, and it concerns me..." She was pleasantly surprised with his words, simply because he seemed prepared to talk to her even though it was his business where he had been, why he had came. On the other hand, he seemed to be careful. Wise, admirable. Something that she would have to break him on if he decided not to ease up around her more eventually. But she was patient. With a half smile, she glanced up at him, " I have heard many howls in the distances off and on through my time coming in this direction. I have not approached them, however. But we are not alone in these vast lands. It seems none are too keen to settle in these lands..." She wondered why, briefly. Was this a terrible place? Was there something she was missing? She had rolled in her questions before, fought with herself until she needed sleep from the strain on her mind. Ultimately, she could not find fault. One did not need to make the choice right away, so she had picked here. Rather than approach someone and get rejection of another pack; that would have been blasphemy to her.
